Two-state solution my toches
President Biden wants a “two-state solution” to Israel’s Palestinian problem. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s not a fan of the idea.
After a month without direct communication (You don’t call, you don’t write…) President Biden got Bibi on the blower and said c’mon man!
Afterwards, the Israeli PM reiterated his position on ye olde two-state MacGuffin: “No fucking way.” Or maybe it was “what are you meshuggah?”
It’s an excellent question. Why would President Biden’s caregivers think a two-state solution is a good idea?
Don’t they know that Palestinian authorities rejected the proposal on four previous occasions (1948, 1967, 2001, 2008)?
Hamas’ One-State Solution
Make it five. After Joe and Bibi’s chinwag, Hamas leader Khaled Mashal clarified the Palestinian position on the two-state tango.
We have nothing to do with the two-state solution. We reject this notion because… you are required to recognize the legitimacy of the other state, which is the Zionist entity. The Palestinian consensus — or almost a consensus — is that we will not give up on our right to Palestine in its entirety, from the river to the sea, and from Rosh HaNikra to Eilat or the Gulf of Aqaba. I believe that Oct. 7 has enhanced this conviction, has narrowed the disagreements and has turned the idea of liberating Palestine from the river to the sea into a realistic idea that has already begun.
Note: Mashal’s “almost a consensus” qualifier. While we don’t know the exact percentage of Palestinians who favor eliminating Israel and its Jewish citizens, we do know that the majority are down with the sickness.
apnews.com reports that a survey conducted from Nov. 22 to Dec. 2 among 1,231 West Bank residents and Gazans found that “despite the devastation, 57% of respondents in Gaza and 82% in the West Bank believe Hamas was correct in launching the October attack.”
Two-state that.
If Israelis aren’t up for a homicidal Palestinian state on its border, if Hamas, the Palestinian Authority (PLA) and
Palestinians don’t want a Palestinian state until and unless Israel and all its Jews are wiped off the face of the earth, what’s the problem?
Then let Israel destroy Hamas, figure out a way to make sure they stay destroyed (short of genocide), then discuss future plans for Gaza and its Jew-hating inhabitants.
Nope. Fearing the loss of anti-Israeli American voters, President Biden’s handlers have advised their ostensible boss to follow the lead of world leaders decrying Uighur Ukrainian Palestinian civilian suffering, calling for a two-state solution.
The Usual Suspects
In his toughest language yet on the Israeli-Hamas war, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres told a ministerial meeting of the U.N. Security Council that “the right of the Palestinian people to build their own fully independent state must be recognized by all, and a refusal to accept the two-state solution by any party must be firmly rejected.”
Does this mean we can expect U.N. members to firmly reject Hamas’ and the PLA’s refusal to accept a two-state solution? As if. If only.
The best we can expect: the Biden Administration pays lip service to the untenable/unpalatable two-state solution, to keep American river-to-the-sea retards and our antisemitic allies semi-complacent.
Meanwhile, Biden’s Boyz work with Congress to provide the aid Israel needs to keep its armed forces armed and forceful.
Genocide Joe?
During all this political maneuvering, there’s a war going on. The fact that the majority of the men, women and children suffering and dying in the war are Palestinian fuels claims of Israeli-ordered genocide.
Ironically, it’s a claim that’s led river-to-the-sea protesters to call President Biden “Genocide Joe.”
That he is not. He’s also not Ronald Reagan. President Biden’s terrible at explaining/selling his administration’s policies.
The CIC’s initial post-October 7 press statement –pledging U.S. support for Israel “full stop” – was a good start. But he’s not done enough (if anything) to defend our ally’s tactics and celebrate their victories. To explain and maintain public support for Israel’s war against Hamas.
A Momentary Lapse of Reason
Oh well. I guess it’s OK that President Biden vacillates between supporting and chiding Israel. One thing’s for sure: Israel won’t be bullied by Biden into a two state solution. After all…
They don’t need no education. They don’t need no thought control. No dark sarcasm in the back rooms…
All in all, they’re just another brick in the wall against Islamic terrorists.
Hey, Biden! Leave them Jews alone!
