What do you want me to write about? Paid subscription?
When I started this Substack, I was floundering. I didn’t know what the hell to do with myself. Publishing an essay every day for the last 210 days got me back my mojo. Thank God.
Thank you! There’d be no point writing The Truth About Everything if no one was reading (#journalingisinsanity). While I could fit every one of my current subscribers in my Austin condo, I won’t. So I’ll just thank each and every one of you for spending time on my work. Cheers!
Now that I’ve decided to play my last cards here, I’ve purchased the thetruthabouteverything.com and dedicated myself to taking this stack to the next level. But how?
I’m giving serious thought to making The Truth About Everything (TTAE) a paid subscription service. Whine of the Day Club! Since 1959!
If I transition to paid subs (nothing kinky there), I’ll still be publishing every day. Every post will be available to subs via the Substack app. BUT I’ll only be emailing you three times a week – to stop death-by-email overkill.
Huzzah! Right? So, if I go down that long and winding road, should I continue to mix it up editorially without rhyme or reason? Or should I have set topics for those three days? For example, Monday politics, Wednesday culture and Friday movies?

More generally, what do you want me to write about?
What essay topics do you read and enjoy, which emails do you delete after clocking the title? I’m open to any and all suggestions, welcoming them with open alms. Speaking of which…
If I turn The Truth About Everything into a paid Substack, I’ll ask you, faithful reader, to stump-up the standard fare: $8 a month or $80 annually.
Your eight bucks will buy you those three less-annoying emails linking to daisy fresh content and full, unfettered access to the 200+ post-and-growing archive (via the Substack app).
Again, I’ll still be posting every day. Because I must (Why I Write for Substack). All daily posts will be available to TTAE subs via the Substack app.
Does the fare seem fair to you? Enquiring minds want to know. Please leave your feedback in the comment section, email (robertfarago1@gmail.com) or text (401 835 5054).
Meanwhile, please note: I’ll be adding original reporting, travel writing, real-time novel writing, a podcast and more. To use The Mask’s catchphrase, somebody stop me!
Only don’t. Please. In fact, your help is most appreciated.
